Just after we arrived I decided to go into the city and get orientated with the main streets. Makiko enjoyed the experience. She took a photo of her first trip on a tram and Flinder's Street Station which is a definite Melbourne icon.
I introduced Makiko to the underground food court in David Jone a big department store down here. She was well impressed with the calibre of the cakes, biscuits, and pastries and even took a photo.
