There be dragons.... this is an irrelevant header

I hope to work out that crazy picasa program and put up some pictures of my house tonight or in the next few days if possible (worked it out actually). Day six of eight days in a row. Can't wait for the days off.

Random Rant
What is it with people with white carpets?

I mean do they just want to be able to see every stain in perfect detail. Can speckled brown or any kind of speckly carpet ever really go out of vogue in the world of carpeting...

Man if I do the carpet at my house I might even get some authentic pub carpet the sticky type with some bright colours and some kind of vague geometric shape on it to focus on when drunk. That would be the bomb. I wonder how they market pub carpet.... do they have adds with big letters extolling the VOMIT RESISTANCE of 'RSL blue crest' and the 'pokie neon purple' types.

Current Situation Report
Well not much to report in the recently demilitarized zone of Briz-Vegas. Just working my ass off for Easter. I have however recently got the Sheldon and Hammond Easter catalog. Lots of tasty kitchenware at discounted prices. I will soon have some nice stainless steel implements to mix up the dishes in the kitchen with.

Movies
Hero- too much cinematography, not enough meaty stunts. They could have created a much better work if they worked on the pacing more but in the end the whole piece became soppy, boring and melodramatic. They could have had more involving and simple but effective dramatic characters (like Wong Fei Hong in Once Upon a Time in China) or they could have had crazy outlandish stupid anime style characters (like in Kung Fu Hustle where the land lady character can blow people away with her shouting.) I now have a huge hankering to watch my favourite Jet Li movie 'Fist of Legend'.

Food
Choclate Rum and Raisin, none of those bloody Easter Eggs yet. Had thai noodles with plenty on Nam pla (fish oil sauce) but not enough coriander. Still damn tasty though... Also had lots of gyoza (like Chinese wonton for the uniniated) recently...

Alcohol
Recently imbibed...
Cooper's mild pale ale like regular ale slightly flat and without any of the bitterness associated with a regular lager.

Music
OK computer by Radiohead still rocks and is one of my elite can indefinitely repeat CDs. Also had a short listen to the Run lola Run soundtrack. Also recommend blister in the sun by the violent femmes and turning japanese by the vapours.

Books
I have placed a hold at the libray on Murakami Haruki's relatively new book 'Kafka on the Shore'. I also want to get a hold of 'The Corporation' by Joel Bakan which I think is the basis for some doco now. Also up there is 'Going Native' by Michael Archer and Bob Beale. I'll get to them one day but I haven't been doing much reading of late.
